It appears that, Guts, the beloved hero in the Berserk series is unknowingly an acolyte of the God Hand. His daily struggles and brief interactions with the Skull Knight and Slan, et al. are seemingly insignificant but they underscore the hidden agenda of the supreme beings in Berserk. Being forged in blood and rage, Guts appears to be on the path to becoming the ultimate tool for the God Hand.
